Taxes at real estate

The tax code buying newly built properties

According to the law on the taxation of added value when buying newly built properties in particular are taxable building plot at the rate of 5% and on building the value of property to be paid for value added tax in the amount of 22% of the production cost of real estate.

The tax code buying real estate

The Republic of Croatia has a unified tax rate of 5% for all types of properties and all types of transactions. The tax is determined based on the price of the sales contract and authorized an assessment of tax administration on whose territory the property is located. According to the law of the real estate purchase tax paid by the buyer or seller in his name, if the parties agree upon.

The tax code replacement property

Likewise, 5%, so that each of the real estate owners pays 5% of its real estate.

The tax on rental properties

When the person rents a property, the tax base so that the calculation of the amount of rent decline costs (30%).
If so be less than EUR 2,400 a month, is taxable at the rate income tax of 20% plus tax, and if it is more, at the rate of 35% plus tax.
In cases where a company rents a property, legal or physical person, paid 22% VAT, and instead of income tax paid on the end of the year, profit tax of 35% is paid.
